Dan Rojas is best know as an acrylic painter, mixed media digital artist and art show curator. What is also true about Dan's past is his 20+ years of experience in photography. At the age of 15, Dan got his first real camera, a Canon AE1 from a friend as a gift and he quickly learned the basics. His very first roll of film included high speed stop motion photography, double exposures and delayed lag exposures. All were self taught experimental shots. Incredibly every photograph developed from that roll was in focus and useable.

In 1988 as Screen Actors Guild Actor, Dan incorporated his skills taking headshots of fellow actors and photoshoots of local models. Dan also got to use his knowledge of photography when he was casted on the set of "FBI Murders" (In the Line of Duty #1) NBC Movie of the Week directed by Dick Lowry (Crossing Jordan) staring David Soul (Hutch, Starsky and Hutch), Michael Gross (Family Ties) and Ronny Cox (Robocop - Beverly Hills Cop ). During his 2 weeks of work, Dan gained valuable experience as a production assistant, actor, stunt driver, and second team 2nd asst. director. Dan watched the lighting and camera work needed to create a Hollywood level film and added this knowledge to his photography & cinematography skills.

From 1989 to present Dan has also been a professional photographer experienced in 35mm, 2 1/4 med. format, 4x5 large format. Dan has an impressive resume of clients including National magazine work for the Stephan Company, Frances Denney, and many regional companies.

The following is a portfolio of work created over the past 20 years.
